Are you insured?
Yes, we are insured and bonded through the Business Insurers of the Carolinas.
Can you take my pets into your home?
No. A to Zoo Pet Care is not set up or licensed to provide boarding. All services take place in your home.
Will you medicate my pet if needed?
Yes and there is no additional charge! We’ll give all types of medication as prescribed. This includes pills, drops, ointments, lotions, and injections.
Will you take care of a snake, chinchilla, bird, goat, etc?
We will care for all types of animals as long as they are not aggressive. Any questionable animals will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
How do we get started with your services?
Call, email or contact A to Zoo Pet Care so we can chat about your animals and their needs. We’ll figure out a time for a free Meet and Greet consultation where you can introduce us to your critters and show us their routine. We’ll also go over some necessary but slightly boring paperwork. Please have 2 house keys ready for us. All keys are stored in a secure location and labeled in a way that would make it impossible to determine to whom each key belonged. If you choose to wait turn over the keys, there will be a pickup fee. It’s highly recommended that you leave keys on file with us for your future trips. Payment is also required at this time.
How far ahead can we reserve services?
Reservations can be made up to one year in advance. Holidays, summers and school vacations fill up quickly. PLEASE NOTE: New clients must have a Meet & Greet at least 48 hours prior to the first day of pet sitting.
What are your cancellation policies? Will I receive a refund if I return early?
Plans change, life happens. There is a 24 hour cancellation policy for daily visits, and a 7 day cancellation policy for overnight visits. Once service has started, there will be no refunds or credits for early returns. Please understand that we reserve time specifically for your pet care job and turn away other clients during that time.
How is payment handled?
Payment is due in full on or before the first day of scheduled services. Overnight visits require a 50% deposit at time of booking. Payments are accepted in forms of cash and checks made out to A to Zoo Pet Care. Credit cards can be used via our client portal online only.
What if my pet becomes ill while I am away?
A to Zoo Pet Care will make every effort to contact you about the situation. We can bring your pet to the vet if desired. In the event we are unable to contact you, we’ll contact your emergency contact person. If we are unable to reach them or we determine that the pet must be seen immediately by a vet, we will bring them to either their vet or the closest emergency vet. You will be billed for any extra time and expenses for these services.
Why should I choose you over my friend or the cheap neighborhood kid?
Great question! We know there are all types of pet care for you to choose from. Please read an excellent article here from Pet Sitters International as to why choosing a professional pet sitter is in the best interest of you and your pet.
